FAQ
We live and dock our boats on Lake Norman. You will park in the driveway of our house. Why do we do this? It is illegal for charter boats to pick-up at public boat launches. We live in Mooresville off of Brawley School Rd. Once you’ve booked your charter, we’ll provide you with the exact location.
YES! We love a fun celebration, and we strive to make yours the best ever! Let us know if you’re celebrating a birthday, anniversary, graduation, engagement, remission for illness, work promotion, life milestone, or whatever! We’re known for providing extra touches to make your day a day to remember! Beer, wine, canned drinks and champagne are all OK but hard liquor is illegal on the lake. There is plenty of room for coolers aboard the boat.
We currently charter our 2 pontoon boats & their names are “It’s Aboat Time” and “It’s Afloat Time.” Both boats have similar features and capacity. For listening to your favorite playlists, we offer Bluetooth for you to connect to our upgraded stereo systems. There is plenty of room for your bags & coolers. There are also a few water-proof compartments.
Our goal is to keep you safe while you have an absolute blast. While other businesses may choose otherwise, we limit our capacity to 10 ADULT passengers (We can make exceptions when children are included in the numbers). When asked why we don’t allow more people to ride, even though there’s ample seat space, we stress that it’s for YOUR safety. Each boat has a weight limit. Quite frankly, if the weight of the boat is too great, the boat sinks. Both of our charter boats are fully licensed and insured & we are compliant with all applicable state, local and federal regulations. Each boat has enough Coast Guard rated personal floatation devices (life jackets) for each person. Also, the boat has a fire extinguisher & first aid kit. In addition to being fully licensed and insured, we do everything within our knowledge to provide for a safe, memorable experience.
Lake Norman is great for cruising, stopping at one of the many islands, partying in a popular cove, going to the rope swing, floating in a private cove, eating at a waterside restaurant, or enjoying a beautiful sunset! Whether you’re spending a day with your family or catching-up with friends, you’ll enjoy the ambience and relaxation of the lake. We do our best to give you the experience you desire whether it’s riding on the boat, relaxing & playing in the lake, or a combination of riding and chilling in the water. We’ll do our best to bring you to the locations you desire. We’re here to serve YOU!
For your pleasure, we provide a large floating mat (15’ x 10’), large noodles, & other water toys. We even have sand toys for the young kiddos. The only “fun” thing we charge extra is for tubing. Tubing requires an abundance of fuel; therefore, an additional $100 is charged. If you wish to tube, after you make your online booking, let us know & we’ll provide you with the instructions for additional payment.
No! This is a private charter and besides the captain, only the people you invite will be aboard the boat.
Policy: $50 deposit is non-refundable. You will have the option to reschedule if due to severe weather. Cancellations made by us within a minimum of 7 day’s notice will be offered a FULL refund. We reserve the right to cancel any tour at any time due to dangerous weather, safety, mechanical or ‘behavioral’ issues. If your charter is cancelled by us, you will be given a FULL refund OR a RAIN CHECK to re-book at another time (this EXCLUDES behavioral, along with alcohol related cancellations – these circumstances will never be rescheduled or refunded). For weather related issues, we normally try to go earlier or later in the day, if possible. The next option is to reschedule for a different date. The challenging thing is that “predicted bad weather” most often doesn’t happen. We have had countless incidents where people chose to go on their boat ride, despite the predicted bad weather, and it didn’t rain even one drop. Though they had thought about rescheduling, they were thrilled that they hadn’t. Also, if you’re in the water while it’s slightly raining, you almost don’t notice. I’ve been on charters where it’s rained a little, but most of the day has been fine. These groups have loved the day. Lastly, “No Shows” will not be refunded or rescheduled.
Please arrive about 10 minutes before your scheduled charter time begins to allow ample time to board the boat. Regardless of the time you arrive, time begins per the time you book.
Mobile phones and any other electronic devices are at your own risk. We encourage you NOT to bring anything on the boat that you do not want to lose or get wet. We do have some waterproof areas for your use on the boat.
Don’t forget to bring sunscreen, towels, drinks, snacks, hats, and sunglasses.
Don't forget to bring a playlist to hookup to our Bluetooth/stereo system.
Expect to have a GREAT TIME because You're on Lake Time! 😀
If it has a dock that can accommodate a safe pick-up and the water is deep enough, we are more than happy to pick you up from an AirBnb, VRBO, other rental house, or personal home on the lake. If it would take us more than 30 minutes, by pontoon boat, to get to your location, we will have to charge an additional $50 to compensate for the extra gas and time.
Like any other service industry, tipping is customary for excellent service. If you feel your captain did an awesome job, it’s ok to let him/her know! We accept cash, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal.
Dogs are allowed as long as they do not tear up the seats & you clean up any mess they make. Should your animal do damage to the boat, an extra fee will be charged.
